Weekly retrospective #61: Oman by Phone!
Happy New Year Everybody!
Due to some workload over 2013 we haven't been able to do as much vacation as we would like to do. So we decided to do this between the years. And we headed over to ... Oman. The Oman?
Many of our friends had to take a look at Google to know where we would spend our holidays.
We did the same before. The Oman opend it doors to the public in the 70's of the last century, before that only a few Western Europeans had the chance to visit the country.
Today the county (a Sultanate) is a modern Arabian state which tries to keep the tradition and the modern way of live under one hood. That's not an easy task, but at the moment it seems to work.
Very friendly people, clean cities and a landscape that makes you cry (in terms of beeing thrilled).
When you come to the towns which are behind the big mountains you feel like in medieval, but again friendly people and all the things
you need to feel like in 1001 nights!
Below you will find the images I've made solely with my iPhone. Other images will follow, so stay tuned and enjoy.
